8TE – TX 78412 sits quietly along Airline Road, a spot where locals and visitors come for straightforward American fare with a contemporary twist. This is a neighborhood restaurant that caters to a mix of patrons—families grabbing lunch, game-day crowds passing through, and those seeking both hearty and healthier options without fuss.

The atmosphere inside 8TE leans casual but attentive. Staff tend to be polite and efficient, creating a welcoming vibe that feels more like eating at a well-run local diner than a formal restaurant. The space suits daytime visits best—whether for a midday sandwich or a relaxed breakfast stop before heading out to nearby attractions like Ollie’s on Airline.

Menu-wise, 8TE balances classic comfort food with some thoughtful upgrades. Sandwiches like the BLAT, with its bourbon caramelized bacon and fried avocado, offer familiar flavors with a hint of creativity, while the Buffalo Sandwich lets you customize your protein selection. If you’re here for lunch entrees, the Trainer—a grilled salmon plated with quinoa and feta—adds a health-conscious option to the roster. Kids are well-covered too, with simple but appealing chicken tenders and mini sliders keeping younger diners happy.

Vegan and plant-based diners will find options that don’t feel like afterthoughts. The fried tofu Buffalo sandwich and beet fries suggest 8TE listens to the local community’s growing demand for varied diets, rounding out the menu nicely.

Service is generally steady, with relatively short waits even during busier times. The team seems accommodating, and there’s a noticeable effort to maintain a clean, upbeat dining environment. The condiment station, while a small detail, adds to the overall no-frills, customer-friendly experience.

This spot fills a daytime niche: it’s not about gourmet intricacies but food that hits familiar notes with occasional twists—good for grabbing a filling lunch, sharing a meal with family, or enjoying a casual breakfast. People visiting for events like sporting games or just exploring the Airline corridor likely find 8TE a convenient, reliable choice.

One small caveat worth noting is a takeout fee some find surprising, which may temper quick grab-and-go decisions. However, for dining in, it remains a solid neighborhood pick for uncomplicated, approachable American food in Corpus Christi.

It was pretty good and we didn't have to wait very long for our food. The food was hot and was filling. My daughter loved the Macaroons and grilled cheese. Most likely will be coming in the morning to try their breakfast as well. Would like their food to have a little more flavor though. The burger wasn't bad at all it just needed more seasoning. All in all it wasn't bad at all.

Came in Corpus for a Hooks game and stayed over. Remembered finding this little gem my last visit and introduced it my husband and siblings! A big hit! My sister loved the chicken and waffles! I loved my breakfast croissant! Mmm.the Avocados were on point! Right around the corner from Ollie's on Airline! I had OJ this time around for my drink and mmmm!!!

I’m not a sandwich person, these were awesome. We had the baked goat cheese appetizer. Came out bubbling and steamy. I ordered The Grown Up. Basil pesto, goat cheese, Muenster, tomatoes, avocado, alfalfa sprouts, bacon and grilled chicken. This sandwich was thick! My wife ordered the Ultimate Caprese. Basil pesto, mozzarella, tomatoes, spinach, avocado, goat cheese and a balsamic glaze. We got potato salad and Spanish rice as our sides. Those were ok. The meal was finished off with a iced circus cookie cheesecake. The cheesecake was the best dessert I have ever had.

Who this place is amazing. We had the Mclovin Burger and Papa Lee's Spanish Rice also we had Pulled pork Tacos with Tots. The young ladies working one in the frount and one in the back are so polite. Also this location is Military friendly. The only thing I was surprised to see there is a fee to take you food home. But over all I give this place a 10.

Vegan Options to the Rescue! 8TE came through with the Plant Based Options! Really awesome joint with a great vibe! They also had a great condiment section! (Its the small things!) We had the -Tofu Fried Buffalo Sandwhich with BEET fries! They were both delicious! I would definitely get it again! Thank you 8TE for having Vegan Options!

I was really torn between three and four stars for this review. The portions were generous and the food was made from scratch. I found the waffles to be a little too sweet for my liking and the potatoes lacking in seasoning. Everything was well cooked and I plan to come back to try more on the menu. It’s definitely worth a try.

This place is a GEM in Corpus Christi. Every time we have family in town, we bring them here. I think they have the best chicken sandwich around and it's definitely something you should try as they have several types. Their chicken salad is also one of my favorites. Give them a try and taste different items from their menu. You'll find something you'll love, but for me, I haven't found anything I DIDN'T love. Enjoy!

It was my first time here. I will return. It is a small place and I like those types. The Shrimp PoBoy was ok, not DELICIOUS, I missed the sauce and the proper bun that goes with it, the shrimp was cooked well. Again I was looking for that Heavy, loving seasoning on it. However you do receive a decent amount of shipping, it was not overflowing as I am accustomed to, yet you did not get short-changed either. The wings were good, but not so much my style, the little lady wanted them, I just had a taste, they were a bit sweet for me, but she loved them. Tater tots were fried Very nicely, I'll ask them to put the salt on the next time. Oh, the Fried Avocado was Good.
